You can call us related to consular procedures and for making appointments from Monday to Thursday between 13:00 and 16:30, and Fridays from 13:00 to 14:00.

The Consulate is closed on Hungarian and Norwegian public holidays.
Booking an appointment
Dear customers, appointments for passport applications, identity card, authentication, customer portal registration, proof of marital status, certificate of good conduct, settlement abroad, change of address, issuance of birth certificate (in the case of already registered persons) can only be booked online. To make an appointment, please use our online booking system.

For other inquiries (e.g.: citizenship issues; registration of birth, marriage, divorce, death; declaration of paternity recognition, residence permit applications), please contact us at our e-mail address: consulate.osl@mfa.gov.hu. The required forms must be filled out prior to making an appointment, and sent along with the required documents (e.g. foreign birth certificate, name change certificate, etc. with an Apostille stamp, as well as your personal document(s)) in a pdf format to our email address: consulate.osl@mfa.gov.hu. An appointment can only be made once all the documents connected to your case have been received by the consulate. This ensures a smooth and fast process when the applicant submits the application at the consulate.
As a general rule, in person administration is based solely on a preliminary appointment.
Due to the extraordinary workload of the consulate, we are unable to respond to e-mails immediately, so please be patient.
At the Consulate
For consular procedures the application must, as a general rule, be submitted in person at the Embassy, based on prior appointment.
In order to ensure a smooth and swift case handling, we kindly ask you to arrive with filled out application forms and all necessary supporting documents.
Due to high number of applications we can not tolerate delays, therefore we ask you to arrive on time to your appointment. In case of delay you might be asked to book a new appointment and come back later.
Please note that in many cases the Consulate only receives the applications and forwards them to the competent Hungarian authority, therefore the Consulate cannot accelerate the procedures.
You will be informed about the outcome of the procedure via email, phone or by post.
Collection of passports or other documents is possible on Monday to Thursday 9:00-12:00 Fridays 10:00 to 12:00 without appointment.
