From 1 July Hungary takes over the Visegrad Group Presidency for one year. During this period, we would like to continue the great work of the Polish Presidency and promote the member countries' efforts to become winners of global economic changes.

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has congratulated Poland on its performance during the V4 presidecy in what he called the most diffigult year of recent decades. PM Orbán said that cooperation among the four members despite the difficulties faced in the past year and none of them were left alone in trouble.

He said that if the V4 countries were considered a single entity today, they would represent the world's 17th largest economy, with economic growth twice as fast as the EU's and public dept representing only 4 percent of that in the EU. After Germany, the V4 countries include the highest number of workers in the EU. (abouthungary.hu)
